Pastor Pete White accepted the pastorate at Bethany Baptist Church on November 3, 1990 and preached his first sermon as pastor on November 7, 1990.

His call into the ministry came in 1976 as he worked at Lafayette Bible Baptist Church in Ballwin, MO under Pastor Robert Allee.  After resigning from Chrysler Corp, he worked for six years at Lafayette Christian Academy.

Realizing the need to further his Christian education, he accepted a call to go to Mt Tabor Baptist Church in Fayette, IN where he again worked with Pastor Robert Allee.  He attended Heritage Baptist University (now Indiana Baptist College) in Greenwood, IN and received his degree in 1989.  He felt God's call on his life into full time pastoral ministry during his time at Bible College.

He worked at Charity Baptist Church under Pastor Roger Murphy from 1987 until his call to Bethany Baptist Church in November, 1990.

A native of Harrisonburg, Va, he left home and moved to the St Louis area in 1959, then joined the Marine Corp and served four years.  He married his wife Linda in 1963 and they raised three daughters - Randi, Kelli and Staci.  They now have eight granddaughters and one grandson.

His favorite verse is "Ye must be born again."

He preaches and believes the King James Version Bible.
