Bus Ministry

On December 20, 2009 A Fifty Dollar Bill was given to Jaedan Scharnowske as the winner of the Otis Brown Memorial Bus Contest. To win she had the most points by saying the most assigned verses, bringing her Bible, bringing the most visitors and also added points by bringing her mom and dad to our services.
We were also privileged that Jaedan brought her mom, grandmother, and great grandmother--4 generations to church services on 12/20/09.
The contest was spead over most of November and up to December 20. Pastor Pete White presented the $50 to her during the a.m. service, Otis Brown's widow Christine looked on.

Hugh and Karen Griffin are in charge of the bus ministry, spending many hours weekly on visitation.
They have had years of experience and know how to fill the church bus.
As a memorial to a dedicated bus ministry worker Otis Brown, who had a massive heart attack in October 2009, the children are in a contest until the Sunday before Christmas to win a $50 bill.
They can gain points by attendance, bringing their Bibles, bringing visitors, and when one of their parents come with them, they can gain extra points.
The bus ministry is a vital part of the children's ministry at Bethany Baptist Church.
